You are, I am, and We are CEOs of our various families.
Leadership is not about them.
Leadership is not all about the selected or elected few who we have willingly and legally given the mandate to take charge and manage our resources at the local, national, and international levels.
Leadership is an all-encompassing attribute you and I possess to impact and influence our domain. So, it starts with you.
Until you have broad views about the scope of leadership you will always exclude yourself from the leadership equation.
Recently, I was privileged to address a group of youths about leadership challenges and what should be their roles in stopping the drift we are experiencing in all the nations of the world.
To start with, I asked them the following questions:
Who is a leader?
Who among them would like to be a leader?
Why would you like to be a leader?
Or why would you not like to be a leader?
These youths for more than 5 minutes were finding it difficult to say something meaningful and reasonable at least from the standpoint from where I would have wanted them to approach the questions.
In summary, more than 75℅ of them said leaders are those in power and who are charged with the distribution of commonwealth.
To the second question, almost all of them opted out of the leadership equation accusing the present elites leaders of corruption and calling them names.
They submitted that because of the present attitudes of our supposed leaders who have turned out to be rulers, they would not like to be leaders.
And the very negligible few among them who opted to be leaders in the future said that they would want to be leaders because they felt entitled in sharing the national cake and that their shares they would not want to lose.
Don't forget that these were answers coming from the leaders of the supposed tomorrow and the very future of the greater, higher, and better tomorrow of our nation.
Hmm!
Where do we stand, and where do we start to reset the minds of these youths for the realization of the hopeful tomorrow?
Simple!
It starts with you and me. If we must rescue tomorrow we must start now.
You and I must wake up and take charge of this drifting world else it would go into extinction and in flames 🔥 🔥 .
As parents, would-be parents, and guardians you are the Chief Executive Officers-CEOs- of your families.
As the CEOs of your organizations-your families-you are the brand ambassadors and symbols of your organization.
You are called and probably trained knowingly or unknowingly for this position. Your carriage should always speak of what your family stands for.
Have you seen a CEO who does not know the mission statements and vision of his organization?
These days, what welcomes you to most CEOs' offices is the organization's mission and vision statements.
CEOs don't cease to sell their organization's products and services through their conduct and behaviors.
However, for most of us who have risen to positions and have families, it seems all these attributes of a good CEO tend to start and end in our respective offices.
Parents and guardians, you are my next-door door CEOs with the charge to manage your families profitably.
As the CEO of your organization, it was your hard and soft skills that won the job for you. Either you were internally promoted or externally hired. All were based on your track records.
While you were pursuing the position and are now in the position you have never at any point ceased to improve yourself as well as position yourself for higher opportunities.
And now, if I may ask you, how have you translated and transferred your attitude and approaches from your official duties to your duties at home?
It is unfortunate, or you may be very unfortunate if you have allowed your office routines and duties to cloud out your principal and foundational decisions and duties in life which are your faith and family decisions and duties.
I am presently being confronted with these challenges and not only me is being challenged but the entire world.

It is time to stop the home drifts and discover the recipes for a blissful and peaceful home to control your world 🌍.
