The confusion we have is in our inability to find the distinctive line of separation between being alone and being lonely.
.
This is because of a man's inability to define him/herself.
I believe that man's ability to properly define him/herself will give him/her an edge in understanding the differences between being alone and lonely.
.
In the past when I was without this knowledge I suffered from depression without knowing what it was and that took me 10 solid years of my life before I could recover.
.
Today, I can be alone for hours and even days without being lonely as long as I am eventfully occupied.
.
To be eventfully occupied while you are alone demands that you have a good understanding of the tripartite nature of man while at the same time seeking to maintain a balance between and among your tripartite nature as well as social nature in the mix.
Man is a spirit being having a soul which is his/her seat of consciousness both of which are warehoused in his/her earthen vessel called his body.
.
So, the tripartite nature of man consists of his/her spirit, soul, and body.
With the spirit, man relates to the spiritual realm.
The soul is the seat of consciousness from where he/her can decide whether he/she will yield to the spiritual consciousness or bodily consciousness.
With the body, man relates to the physical realm.
However, to have a balanced man, he/she needs to socialize with others complementing others to complete him/herself.
That is why we are not only created as spiritual beings but equally as social beings.
This is because everyone is unique and special but not complete by oneself and one can find a reason why he/she must relate with others to complement and complete him/herself.
So, whenever you are alone endeavor and ensure that your soul is occupied with things that are feeding and developing your seat of consciousness, the soul, consistently and intentionally; mindfully and thoughtfully; prayerfully and watchfully exercising your soul to the intent that you get your tripartite nature fed with the rightful foods they need.
