Lucia Rossi,
The key problems that exist in the leadership team-centered leadership approach are found in the team formation, its composition, and personality traits of the composite team and their ideological differences.
From time, if given certain circumstances and situations, all other factors of production can be reasonably controlled but man because of the varied personality traits and background noise of team members. These are the basic reasons why training and retaining team members are essential for teamwork, team spirit, and team cohesion.
The team needs to learn and or have a paradigm shift from the popular life ideology cum philosophy of Competitive Comparisons to Complementary Completions that recognizes the uniqueness and comparative advantages of each member of the team which is inclined to their personality traits and purposes in life. This will help each member of the team to see him/her as a useful member of the team and will allow him/her to see the essence of aligning, leveraging, and synergizing with every other member of the team to minimize or eliminate his/her weaknesses while optimizing his/her contributions to the team objective.
Whenever and wherever the principles of Complementary Completions are understood, assimilated, and deployed, the exponential powers of synergy and leverage are at work to produce exponential growth and optimal results because each member of a team sees him/herself as a vital component unit of the entire system with functional part to perform for him/her to remain a part of his/her team and the organization as a whole.
Training like communication soft skills, emotional intelligence, management skills, and total management approach are some of the training programs that highlight the team-centered leadership approach.
Every member of a team-centered leadership needs to know that he/she is a leader in an area where he/she has a comparative advantage and that he/she functionally and mutually contributes through cooperation, and collaboration to complement to complete the entire system operations of his/her team and the organization.
Leadership heads of each team unit are easily identifiable by the consensus of the team members if team members are allowed to independently elect their heads.
